The Boneyard - Mayfield Heights OH
Great Entertainment, Great Food and Fun Times! This is the kind of stuff that world class establishments are made of, and the reason why my favorite weekend hangout to go and see live bands perform at, is The Boneyard in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
The Boneyard, owned by Michael Schwartz, relocated from Atlanta to totally renovate an old movie theatre here in Mayfield Heights and turn into a spectacular establishment for dining, an arcade with over 140 games, a banquet center, and some of the best live music around. The Boneyard is all this and more, recently celebrating its 3rd year anniversary on November of 2009.
In the three years The Boneyard has been in business, it just keeps getting better! The food and service is 5 star, and the entertainment is 1st class. If I sound impressed, I am. What Michael Schwartz has done with this old theatre is nothing short of amazing. We frequently visit on the weekends to take pictures of the live bands and grab a bite to eat. We have yet to be disappointed with the quality of the food and the staff is always courteous, respectful and friendly.
From a nightclub perspective, the Boneyard in Mayfield is reminiscent of what many clubs used to be like back in the 80's that catered to live bands. If you were around back then, you can relate to what I am referring to; large stages, dance floors you can actually dance on, and a PA and Lighting System to be proud of. The combination of a flown PA system, lighted trusses and special effects create the sound and visual aspects of a full blown concert production. This 1st class sound and lighting system combined with a 20 by 30 foot stage is the perfect place for any talented band to perform at. Many genres of music are welcome at the Boneyard but you can be assured that only the best bands in Northeast Ohio will have the privilege to play on this stage.
The Boneyard in Mayfield is an inspiration and should set an example to other club owners on how it should be done. I would personally like to say thank you for bringing the Boneyard to us. For providing a great place for bands to perform at and an atmosphere that visitors won't soon forget.
