Keeping Riley Hits the Road In Support of “Welcome Fire”Cleveland,
OH – New Jersey funk rock darlings Keeping Riley are heading on a
fifteen date tour to support their third studio album “Welcome
Fire”. This is the band’s first release in four years, as well as
the first product of upstart independent label Rock X Records.
The Keeping Riley tour will launch in Cleveland on May 28 with their
headlining show at the House of Blues, part of Gorilla Productions’
Cleveland Music Festival.
Formed in 2004, Keeping Riley is known
for their high-energy live shows, a spirit that runs rampant throughout
the feel good lyrics and grooves of “Welcome Fire.” The eight
members’ eclectic musical tastes and backgrounds result in a unique
blend of acoustic and horn driven rock, funk, and pop. The band
deftly incorporates a diverse array of instruments alongside soulful
acoustic rhythms and powerful, harmonious vocals.
Keeping Riley
is an incredibly talented bunch whose members come from classically
trained musical backgrounds. Saxophonist Kevin Bene was a
National Finalist in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)
Competition for Young Artists. Vocalist Noah Hercky has won two
awards for “Outstanding Soloist” in the International Competition of
Collegiate A Capella (ICCA).
Keeping Riley’s signature sound and
loyal fan base helped them win the 2008 Gorilla Productions’ National
Battle of the Bands contest. They beat over 6,000 bands to earn
their current record deal with Rock X Records, a label that aims to
support passionate and emerging musical talent through creative
personalized promotion and musical freedom.
The following shows and accompanying album are sure to please old and new fans alike.
