man, where do i start... maybe the beginning. my name is jeff turk, a.k.a. jt. i've been a dj since 1985 with roots in radio & bars going all the way back to the draft house in strongsville. most recently in canton at panini's (belden village) but also at blossom music center before every concert for the last 7 season's in the coors light silver bullet lounge. my story goes back about 11 years ago. it's a dull monday at the pub club (canton) and i'm either ready to tie one on or fall asleep. naturally i take the first course of action. shots' of crown go down so smooth with a cold beer and some good tunes. so i'm jammin into a classic rock set. it's one of those nights where you finally get to play some stuff you'd like to hear and no requests to bog you down. two guys come into the bar at like 1am, i've got one hour left to get really fd up and just jam. when all of a sudden this dude comes into the dj booth, puts his arm around me and says in a raspy drawn out voice heyyy maaannn your playin some really good sh@#! mind if i hang with you a while? in my astonishment, i look at this dude, ready to tell him to take a hike and notice two things. first, he's got another shot of crown for me and 2nd, he's joe frickin walsh! joe walsh was my assistant dj for the remainder of the night and we had a drunken blast. don't care if it sucked or not, but i like to believe we rocked. apparently he was in town working on an album with joe vitale and we had a riot.
