This is a great place and I hope it continues for many years. I have general comments (for all dance halls) for readers and hopefully the owners as well.
I danced the country craze throughout the 90's. They all closed up when the clubs didn't overseer certain aspects of sanity. Music doesn't have to be ear splitting, deaf making, loud.
The dance floor ettiquite must be kept and taught to those new to the different forms of country dance. Partner dancing flows around the outside of the dance floor and must be kept open for these dancers (4 foot from the rail-in). The same goes for partner pattern dances although they are normally slower paced the pure partner dancing.Swing dancers can have a center portion of the floor, a size able to handle the number of dancers or the very front or back but kept separate from the line dance portion of the floor and not into the 4 foot partner dance area. Successful dance halls I have known used tape or paint to portion off their floors for all to see. Certainly employees can go out and kindly explain to those not paying attention to the lines/paint or ettiquite. Line dancers have a huge amount of the floor but either on one end of the center (for the swing dancers) or the other end or both but not going into the 4 foot close to the rail the partner dancers need.
I also agree with another comment in this blog playing the same music with the same bands gets old. There is nothing wrong using CD's to give the band a break and a change of pace in the type of music played.
Lastly please don't try to boost income by allowing younger kids who are experimenting in alcohol and willing to spend more money get you shut down like many past places.
Please utilize this club and spend some money to help it stay open when you are there. Happy dancing!

****UNFORTUNATLY THIS POST CAME TO LATE. Mustang Salliz has been shut down, but not because of serving minors, there were other reasons. This was a fun club and has been closed for the last few months. But, I've heard that it has been reopened recently with a variety of local bands playing their. From Country to Rock. Hopefully they can keep this club open because it really is a great club to dance in.****
