Band and Fan

by Styles Bytchly
(West of Cleveland)

Anyone want to team up and invest in a place that showcases local talent, records the same, has talent agent on staff who can help develop and guide younger inexperienced talent. Provide a venue for anything touring screamo acts to 50 year old guys down the street, who can still rock your ass off? Ohh! And on Sunday afternoon, open up the stage for open mic or acoustic artists?

Here is a thought... we could make our profits from repeat customers who want and deserve a safe , clean, classy organization with well trained staff that knows the value of curteous customer service and is willing to provide an excellent product. Not off the backs of kids who are trying to get their act together!! Perhaps, I'm just naive?

The kind of actions these club owners are permitting gives the entertainment business another black eye. I wouldn't spend a nickle in one of their dumps.

I saw the ugly side of the biz back in the 80's. A quote bt Hunter S. Thompson comes to mind--

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Not much has changed, just more disgusting and reprehensible.

Well this is what needs to be done.Stop complaining and create your own avenues and keep it moving..I agree with you I have been involved with these in Philly.. The problem is the ones who complain won't support.. If you do it promote it well.
